Sustainability Policy
Management System
Our Sustainability Management System (SMS) establishes the fundamental framework and defines the policies of our facility, designed to be adaptable and improvable across environmental, social, community, cultural, economic, quality, human rights, and health and safety processes. The foundation of our management system is based on risk analysis, which is conducted across all these categories. In addition to risk assessment, we maintain a crisis management policy and system to address potential occurrences. If targets are achieved, new objectives are set; if not, our practices are thoroughly reviewed. Regarding sustainability, our facility commits to fulfilling the requirements of the Turkey Sustainable Tourism Program and ensures the continuous improvement of the sustainable management system to enhance overall performance.
Legal Compliance
Our facility commits to complying with current laws, regulations, and international agreements; it maintains an up-to-date list of these requirements, regularly informs its staff about them, and provides the necessary training to employees.
Stakeholders and Communication
Our facility provides accurate information to all sectors in its promotional activities and always uses genuine visual materials. We maintain a transparent and realistic structure regarding our products and services on our website, social media accounts, other printed and written channels, and in our marketing communications. A system is in place at our facility aimed at receiving feedback from our customers, public institutions, municipalities, employees, local residents, and all other relevant individuals and organizations concerning our sustainability performance, policies, and practices. Through this system, we collect feedback from both our staff and our guests.
Customer Experience
Our facility places great importance on customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction includes feedback derived from the sustainability management system described above. We analyze the results obtained; negative feedback is recorded, and the necessary corrective measures are taken.
Accessibility
Our facility commits to providing accessible tourism services for everyone within its means and informs customers and stakeholders clearly and accurately about the level of accessibility via its website. We strive to make continuous improvements not only for the physically disabled but also for guests who cannot participate in tourism activities due to visual, hearing, or other impairments.
Purchasing
In this regard, our policy encompasses local, environmentally friendly, fair trade-based, and efficient purchasing. Our facility closely monitors the sources of the goods and services we acquire. We verify our suppliers' sustainability-related certifications, information, and documentation.
Local Purchasing: Our facility prioritizes local suppliers when purchasing goods and services, provided they meet quality standards and offer reasonable pricing.
Environmentally Friendly Purchasing: Our facility follows an environmentally conscious purchasing policy. We prioritize efficient procurement to reduce food and solid waste, and we place great importance on energy and water conservation during the selection of goods and services.
Efficient Purchasing: Our purchasing policy prioritizes goods that are reusable, returnable, and made from recycled materials.
Cultural Sustainability Policy
Presentation of Cultural Heritage: Our facility respects the intellectual property rights of the local people. We incorporate authentic elements of traditional and contemporary local culture into our cuisine, design, and decoration.
Artifacts: Our facility does not buy or sell historical and archaeological artifacts, does not mediate their trade, and does not exhibit them.
Promotion of Sustainable Local Gastronomy: Our facility prioritizes the promotion and consumption of local products. It implements innovative and creative practices to ensure sustainability in gastronomy across all its activities.
Energy and Environment
Energy Saving: Our facility has an energy saving policy. The policy includes the regular measurement, monitoring, and reduction of energy consumption, as well as the use of renewable energy. It prioritizes the use of renewable energy sources as much as possible. Our facility identifies activities with high energy consumption and implements reduction activities in these areas and processes (thermal insulation systems, preferring devices with low consumption energy ratings, using LED bulbs instead of high-energy lighting like incandescent lamps, etc.). Furthermore, our facility utilizes energy-efficient equipment.
Water Management and Wastewater
Our facility has a water conservation policy. Our policy includes the regular measurement, monitoring, and reduction of water consumption. The water risk status of the region where our facility is located has been determined. Water risk has been separately evaluated in the risk analysis, and a water management plan has been established. It includes targets and reporting for the measurement and tracking of water usage and the reduction of water consumption.
Food Waste and Solid Waste
Our facility has a "Solid Waste Management Plan." The plan includes the regular measurement and monitoring of waste production, as well as waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and disposal. Solid waste is segregated according to types such as food, recyclable, toxic/hazardous, and organic; recycling and reuse opportunities are prioritized during this segregation. Solid waste, including food waste, is measured by type. The amount of solid waste per guest or per overnight stay is calculated and reported at our facility. Compliance with the "Zero Waste Regulation" legislation regarding solid waste management is ensured.
Equal Opportunity
Employment opportunities at our hotel are provided without discrimination based on gender, race, religion, disability, or any other grounds. We ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all our employees regardless of gender, race, or religion. We support women's participation in the workforce across all our departments and offer equal opportunities. We operate under an "equal pay for equal work" policy without gender discrimination. We distribute tasks based on the principle of equality. We provide the necessary environment for equal access to career opportunities. We establish training policies and support women's participation and awareness-raising. We create working environments and practices that protect the work-life balance. We do not permit women to be subjected to any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination, suppression, coercion, defamation, or similar situations.
Our Greenhouse Gas and Carbon Footprint Reduction Activities
Since our hotel is located in the city center, transportation is provided by shuttle vehicles supplied by the hotel.
Energy Saving: By choosing to purchase local food, it contributes to energy and fuel savings throughout the process until it reaches the end consumer.
Electronic Procurement & Consumption: The purchasing department procures electronic products only in proportion to its actual needs.
Our Policy on Protecting Biodiversity, Natural Life, and Wildlife
Future generations have the right to know and witness biological species. With a "healthy environment, healthy animals, healthy humans" approach regarding the relationship between ecosystem destruction, climate change, and disaster risk, we understand the vital and socio-economic value and importance of biodiversity, and we commit to working to ensure its protection. To support ecosystem services, we take responsibility for contributing to habitat creation, soil formation, nutrient cycling, and the water cycle. To provide cultural support, we make plans aiming to contribute to recreational and aesthetic values, educational and inspirational values, moral and spiritual values, and science and education.
